When cutting your own hair, it's important to start with clean, dry hair and use sharp scissors designed for cutting hair. Begin by sectioning your hair and starting with small, conservative cuts to avoid taking off too much at once. It's also helpful to have a reference point, such as a picture of the hairstyle you're trying to achieve, and to regularly check your progress in a mirror. If you're unsure or uncomfortable with cutting your own hair, it's best to seek the help of a professional hairstylist. **
